Uzyt has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
Every listing, store, profile, and conversation has a report button (the flag icon).
Reports are confidential, reviewed by a human, and acted on within 24 hours —
content that violates these guidelines is removed, and serious violations end in
a permanent ban. These guidelines are platform policy and may be updated as Uzyt grows.
🚫 Never Allowed
No exceptions, in listings, stores, posts, or messages.
Firearms & weapons. Guns, firearm parts and accessories, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, replica and airsoft/BB guns, and weapon-style blades (switchblades, throwing knives). Ordinary kitchen, pocket, and utility knives and archery equipment are fine.
Sexual services or adult content of any kind — including any ad, post, or message arranging them.
Human trafficking or exploitation of any kind, and any content involving minors in a sexual or exploitative way. These are reported to authorities.
Drugs & substances. Illegal drugs and paraphernalia, prescription drugs, cannabis and hemp-derived products (CBD, delta-8), tobacco, nicotine, vapes, and alcohol.
Stolen or fake goods. Stolen property, items with removed serial numbers, counterfeit or replica branded goods, fake IDs, forged documents, and other people's personal information.
Recalled or unsafe products — it is illegal to resell recalled products, even secondhand. Check
cpsc.gov/Recalls.
Live animals — see the animal policy below.
Endangered-species products (ivory, exotic skins, and similar).
Gift cards & digital codes — a common scam vector.
Human remains, organs, or body parts.
Hate, threats, or harassment. Content that threatens, harasses, discriminates against, or demeans people, or promotes violence.

Used baby & child gear (car seats, cribs, strollers): the seller must confirm the item is not recalled, not expired, and never crash-involved. The posting flow links the
CPSC recall list.
Vehicles: sellers must disclose salvage, rebuilt, or branded title status.
Housing & real estate: fair-housing law applies. No preferences or exclusions based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, or family status ("no kids," "females only," and similar language is removed).
Intimate apparel: new and unworn only.
Event tickets: at or below face value only.
Personal-contact services (massage, bodywork, companionship, modeling, dancing, and similar) are not allowed at this time.
🐾 Animal Policy
Protecting animals and adopters.
No individual animal sales, "rehoming," or giveaways — including rehoming fees and free-to-a-good-home posts. These are common vectors for scams and animal abuse.
Verified shelters and rescues will be able to list adoptable animals through dedicated Community Stores (coming soon). Adoptions never go through in-app checkout.
Never send a deposit to "hold" an animal. Only pay a shelter in person or through the shelter's official website.
No disguised animal sales. Listing a "crate" when puppies are what's for sale, litter announcements, or "message me about puppies" posts all count as animal sales.
🎭 No Scams or Evasion
The fastest way to a permanent ban.
Known scam patterns are banned: deposits to "hold" an item, overpayment-and-refund schemes, asking for verification codes, fake courier or escrow links, and gift-card payments.
No rule evasion. Rewording ads, disguising prohibited items, or reposting removed content makes it worse, not better.
No publishing others' private information.
Adults only. You must be 18 or older to use Uzyt.
One person, one set of accounts. Bans apply to the person — across every account and store they run.
🛡️ How Enforcement Works
Reports are confidential. Reviews are human.
Report anything with the flag icon on listings, stores, profiles, and in chat. The person you report never sees who reported them.
24-hour review. Reports in the most serious categories hide the content immediately while a human reviews.
Removal, not editing. Violating content is removed and the owner is told which rule was broken. Uzyt never edits a listing to make it acceptable.
Escalation: warning → content removal → posting suspension → permanent ban. Sexual services, trafficking, and anything involving minors skip straight to a ban.
