Code of Ethics

"Rent it. Own it. Trust it."

Uzyt was built for the Quad Cities community — a place where neighbors can buy, sell, rent, and trade with confidence. This Code of Ethics is our promise to every user that Uzyt will always be a safe, honest, and respectful marketplace.

🤝 Honesty & Integrity
Be real. Be fair. Be trustworthy.
List accurately. Describe your items truthfully — condition, age, defects, and all.
Use real photos. Only post actual photos of the item you're selling. No stock images.
Price fairly. Set honest prices. No bait-and-switch tactics.
Honor your commitments. If you agree to a sale, show up.
🛡️ Safety First
Every meetup. Every time.
Meet in public. Always conduct exchanges in well-lit, public locations.
Bring a friend. Especially for high-value transactions.
Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, cancel and report immediately.
Verify before you meet. Check that the other user is ID-verified.
⭐ Respect & Community
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Communicate respectfully. No harassment, threats, or offensive language.
No discrimination. Uzyt prohibits discrimination of any kind.
Leave honest reviews. Only review based on genuine experiences.
🔒 Platform Integrity
Keep Uzyt clean and trustworthy for everyone.
One account per person. No multiple accounts to evade bans.
No scams or fraud. Any fraud attempt results in immediate permanent ban.
Report bad actors. Use the in-app report feature to keep the community safe.

The Uzyt Community Pledge

"I commit to being an honest, safe, and respectful member of the Uzyt community. I will list truthfully, transact safely, treat others with respect, and help make the Quad Cities marketplace a place everyone can trust."
